Andrew Bolton is a partner and Global Group Head of the Dispute Resolution department across the Appleby Group. He specialises in contentious insolvency matters and commercial litigation, including fraud, asset recovery and professional negligence.
Andrew has been consistently ranked as a leading lawyer in various global directories for dispute resolution and insolvency and restructuring including Chambers Global, Legal 500 and IFLR1000. Most recently Chambers Global 2016 recognised Andrew as a 'Leading Individual' and also within Chambers Global 2015 for leading the team on Lakatamia Shipping asset freezing application. Additionally, the 2015 edition of International Who’s Who Legal – Asset Recovery described Andrew as "boasting an impressive practice."

In October 2014 Andrew won the Lawyer Monthly Legal Award for Commercial Litigation Lawyer of the Year in the Cayman Islands.
Prior to joining Appleby in 1997, Andrew worked for Freshfields (now Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer) in London and Brussels for ten years, including a year on secondment to the Bank of England. He became a partner at Appleby in 1999 and now has overall responsibility for the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice in its various offices.
Andrew is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales, the Law Society of Cayman Islands and INSOL International.
