How we work:
Appleby is committed to being an inclusive and equitable employer.
We encourage applications from all suitably qualified and eligible candidates, and we’re open to providing reasonable adjustments to support you through the application and interview process.
Our values are integrity, collegiality and excellence. Our team are driven by these values for our clients.
We know that work/life balance and boundaries are important to our people. Across our ten locations, our team work remotely, in hybrid arrangements and fully office based – depending on the nature of their roles. We’re proud of our reputation for professionalism and first-class client service and we believe that regular, in-person collaboration is key to ensuring excellent teamwork and exceptional service levels. We enable our team to work flexibly in a way that balances individual needs with the needs of your team and our business.
Student and trainee opportunities for a career in law
Appleby has established training programmes in most of our offices. We have put together a structured training programme which offers students access to some of the best legal minds in the offshore world. Whilst the programmes may vary depending on what jurisdiction you are in, the goal is the same: to provide the best training possible for careers in law and to enable Appleby professionals to deliver the first class service and technical expertise that our clients expect.

Our global Corporate Social Responsibility Programme
For Appleby, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is more than a channel for promoting our brand. It’s about engaging our colleagues and building strong relationships with local community groups in order to contribute to and support the communities in which we operate.
At the heart of our corporate responsibility strategy is a series of programmes that support education, sports development, the arts, disadvantaged groups and the environment.
Visit our Community Partnerships page for more information on our CSR work.

We provide pro bono support to BSoA, the oldest established arts organisation in Bermuda, whose mission is to nurture the growth of visual art and artists by providing a superior venue to showcase local artists’ work and helping to prepare them for international exposure.

Jersey Hospice is one of the charities we support because we love how it recognises that each person is unique. It offers respect and a holistic approach which aims to personalise care for the individual, allowing them to make the most of what time is left, and ultimately to help each person live life to the full. Everyone cared for at Hospice is supported to die pain free, with dignity and in a place of their choosing.
