Prior to joining Appleby, Joseph spent seven years in the Boston and San Francisco offices of leading US law firms, ultimately leading the Northern California Business Development Team which supported more than 300 lawyers in the Bay Area and was responsible for introducing a number of firm-wide initiatives.
In his role at Appleby, Joseph will be responsible for overseeing the business development plans for Appleby in Hong Kong and Mainland China and will work closely with the Asia Managing Partner to execute the continued growth strategy, which has seen Appleby report three successive record years in Asia, notwithstanding the difficult market, and announce the upcoming launch of Appleby Global Services (Shanghai).
