Katie Blundy is an Associate in the Corporate department. She practices in all areas of corporate and commercial law, including capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements and corporate finance. Prior to joining Appleby, Katie practiced at a top tier Canadian law firm in Vancouver, British Columbia. Katie attended the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Law where she obtained a Juris Doctor with a business law concentration. She also earned a Bachelor of Engineering Science (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Western Ontario. Katie is a non-practicing member of the Law Society of British Columbia. Katie joined the firm in November.

Carl Meyer is an Associate in the Corporate department. His practice specializes in corporate and commercial law including technology, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions. Carl articled at a top-tier international law firm based in South Africa after which he practiced in the Corporate department until 2019. Before joining Appleby, Carl focused on technology procurement and commercial contracting at a leading managed legal services firm where he supported some of the world’s largest multinational companies. Carl holds an LLB degree from the University of Cape Town and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Carl joined the firm in October.
