INSOL International is a world-wide federation of national associations for accountants and lawyers who specialise in turnaround and insolvency. The 2023 event is at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel.
Anthony Williams and Alex Thornton de Mauroy from our Guernsey team, will join Jersey’s Lara von Wildenrath – and we’re delighted that Claire Corkish, Partner at Appleby Isle of Man, will also be speaking at the Jersey event.
Claire will be talking on the panel: All Trussed Up?. The panellists will discuss whether the Crown Dependencies’ insolvency procedures are restricted by long standing custom and practice, or if they have managed to, and are they managing to, modernise and change in direction (but perhaps not quite so readily as the UK Government)?
A speaker from each of Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man will outline recent material changes to the insolvency regimes in each of the three Crown Dependencies. The discussion will move on to highlight further planned changes in the near term and set out a wish list for the medium term future. Read more here.
