INSOL International is a world-wide federation of national associations for accountants and lawyers who specialise in turnaround and insolvency. The 8th annual Channel Islands Seminar, in association with ARIES, will be taking place on Wednesday 11 September at the Duke of Richmond Hotel, Guernsey.
In attendance from Appleby are Niall MacDonald, Simon Felton and Lara von Wildrenrath from our Jersey team, Anthony Williams, Alex Thornton de Mauroy and Daisy Faduke from Appleby Guernsey and Claire Corkish from Appleby Isle of Man. We’re delighted that Claire will also be speaking at the seminar.
Claire is taking part in a panel discussion, “Fighting Talk!” from 16.15 – 17.15 where panellists will discuss the question: “You’re allowed to make one change to the world of insolvency and rescue procedures. What change will that be?”. Professionals from onshore and offshore jurisdictions will have the opportunity to present their proposal and persuade the audience why their suggested change to the current insolvency and rescue tools in their respective jurisdictions would be most impactful. Competitors will also “cross-examine” and “interrogate” their counterparts. More information can be found here.
