These new rules are designed for Specialist Companies, including SPV holding companies and closely held REITs, and aim to attract privately held structures whose securities are held by qualified investors, with no expectation of trading or frequent transferring of the securities.
The new Specialist Companies Equity Rules include a streamlined listing application process and simplified disclosure requirements, which are more flexible than the existing Equity Market Listing Rules focused on trading companies and investment vehicles.
