Commentary in this year’s guide includes Bermuda’s Insurance team being praised for “the very thorough knowledge and diligent work of the partners, alongside their evident strong relationship with the regulators and other local service providers”, while the office’s Corporate practice “stands out for its responsiveness, dedication and technical skills. They are excellent at both partner and associate level”. For Dispute Resolution, the Bermuda office is noted for “having very good lawyers who know the jurisdiction and know what they are talking about”.
In the Cayman Islands, the Corporate & Finance team “remain the gold standard for fund finance transactions” with the directory also highlighting its work in structured finance transactions, including collateralised loan obligations, and how “Appleby is great at quickly providing good Cayman legal advice for any issues that arise.
