Daniel Mitchell is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team in the British Virgin Islands, having practiced in the Territory for over 11 years. He has a broad range of experience with a particular focus on insolvency and cryptocurrency matters as well as complex commercial disputes.
He has represented the liquidators in two of the Territory’s largest insolvency matters over the past decade including Fairfield Sentry (incorporated by Bernard Madoff Ponzi to support his multi-billion dollar ponzi scheme) as well as, more recently, Three Arrows Capital, Ltd (the now defunct multi-billion dollar cryptocurrency hedge fund).
Dan is a solicitor-advocate having represented his clients at all levels of the judicial system in the BVI and on appeal to the Privy Council.
