George Mallis is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution department of Appleby’s Hong Kong office.
George has extensive experience in handling contentious regulatory matters and specialises in commercial litigation, including minority shareholder claims, insolvency disputes, funds disputes and general corporate disputes.
George has acted for clients across the Asia-Pacific region, from asset management firms to a broad range of financial services corporations, including their fund management affiliates, listed corporations, and company directors and officers.
Prior to joining Appleby, George worked with Clifford Chance in Perth, UBS in Hong Kong and most recently with Sidley Austin in Hong Kong.

- a multinational resources company in a cross-border regulatory investigation concerning an alleged misstatement in the company’s public accounts;
- a major construction and infrastructure company in litigation proceedings concerning a failed capital raising; and
- a public medical technology company in litigation proceedings commenced against the company by minority shareholders of one of the company’s subsidiaries.
