Bio

Inyeneobong Udoh is an Associate within the Corporate department in Jersey and is known for his ability to provide creative solutions to meet legal and commercial objectives. He advises on key aspects of corporate and financing transactions including mergers, acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, debt restructuring, securitisation, and the dynamics of the Jersey corporate, regulatory and compliance regime.

He is qualified to practice as an advocate and solicitor in Nigeria and prior to joining Appleby, he practised as an Associate in Nigeria for five years including at a reputable international law firm, during which time he advised on a broad range of market-defining transactions impacting the Nigerian and wider African market. He also undertook in-depth evaluations of boards, developed key corporate governance policies and processes and advised the board and senior management of major companies.

With prior experience handling large-scale commercial disputes, he understands the market within which clients’ businesses operate and employs this foresight in advising against potential pitfalls.

Inyeneobong contributed to the World Bank Doing Business Report for 2019, 2020 and 2021 and co-authored the Nigerian Pharma Legal Handbook (2019) which answers essential questions about the legal and regulatory environment for medical products in the country.

Qualifications & Education

He was the Best Graduating Student of his undergraduate class and also obtained a First Class degree from the Nigerian Law School.
