- advising the Bank of New York Mellon as Trustee, Notes Collateral Agent and Common Collateral Agent in connection with the Greenko Energy Holdings and Greenko Investment Company offering of USD500 million senior notes due 2023 by Greenko Investment Company (Mauritius).
- advising IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, formerly IRB Infrastructure Developers Private Limited (IRB), an Indian highway construction company headed by Virendra Dattatraya Mhaiskar in a structured finance deal of USD300 million 5.5 % senior secured notes due 2024 issued by Mauritius-based India Toll Roads and listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
- advising the Carlyle Group Inc. in connection with the issue of dollar bonds to help fund the proposed acquisition of Hexaware Technologies Ltd and pursuant to which transaction, several Mauritian entities were set up and involved as guarantors to facilitate the bonds issue and financing.
- advising in a structured deal of USD400 million 4.5% senior secured notes due 2027 issued by Mauritius-based India Clean Energy Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ReNew Energy Global PLC, established as a special purpose vehicle to make specific investments in USD-denominated notes issued by ReNew Power Private Limited in the form of external commercial borrowings issued to finance operations of renewable energy sector projects in India.
- advising in a structured finance deal of USD363 million 4.25 % senior secured notes due 2027 issued by Mauritius-based Clean Renewable Power (Mauritius) Pte. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hero Future Energies Asia Pte. Limited which is an independent and one of the leading power producers in India with a renewable energy portfolio of more than 2 gigawatts of capacity, including assets under construction. The Notes were listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
- act as Mauritian counsel to global leader enterprises such as d.light, Valeura and WestBridge Capital and to various financial institutions, namely UBS AG, Chailease International Financial Services, Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company, CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited, Standard Bank of South Africa Limited and Credit Suisse AG on various transactions.
- act as Mauritian counsel in a structured finance deal of USD300 million 5.85 % senior secured notes due 2030 issued by Mauritius-based India Vehicle Finance, an orphan special purpose vehicle owned by a purpose trust established under the laws of Mauritius, and listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
- advising in a structured finance deal of USD450 million 6.25 % senior secured notes due 2025 issued by Mauritius-based Cliffton Limited and listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
- advising in a structured finance deal of USD450 million 6.25% senior secured notes due 2025 issued by Mauritius-based India Airport Infra and listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.
- advising Mauritius-based and NASDAQ listed MakeMyTrip Limited on the issue of US$200 million 0.00% convertible senior notes due 2028.
- advised Mauritian based India Toll Roads in its debt refinancing through the issuance of USD300m Senior Secured Notes.
- act as Seychelles counsel to Standard Chartered Bank in connection with the issuance of a USD15 million Partially Guaranteed Private-Placement Bonds (guaranteed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development).
- assigned counsel to The Seychelles Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust (SeyCCAT); assisted in setting up the SeyCCAT as well as the drafting of the Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust of Seychelles Act, 2015 establishing the SeyCCAT.

- acted as Mauritian counsel to Oak Management (Mauritius) Limited alongside the Appleby Guernsey office to successfully conclude a settlement agreement between the relevant parties.
- act as Mauritian counsel to Cedar SOC by acting as Attorney at Law for the applicant on various court applications, alongside Senior Counsel Anwar Moollan as barrister at law on the matter.
- act as Mauritian counsel to Canada Life International Limited and Appleby Mauritius, an international provider in wealth, insurance and asset management solutions — challenging Metraton Global Fund and Metatron Global Asset Managers (collectively referred to as “Metraton”) on its right to defer a redemption of shares. Appleby assisted Canada Life on an application for an attachment order in the sum of USD 1.5 million to be attached in the hands of SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd, the garnishee in the claim. A settlement was reached between the parties to end this dispute and was set out in a Settlement Deed.
- acts for Africa Technical Services Limited (ATSL) to resist a claim under the Employment Right Act 2008 made by a former employee, by virtue of an International Agreement.
- assisted Winston & Strawn London LLP to serve a statutory demand to one of its creditors in Mauritius. The parties reached a settlement agreement pertaining to the sum in dispute.
- act as Mauritian counsel alongside with Melissa Virahsawmy Naik as barrister and Mr Raouf Gulbul as Senior Counsel for the liquidators on one of the world’s greatest financial scandals.
