Leona is a Senior Associate* in Appleby’s Corporate department in Guernsey.
Leona’s expertise is predominantly in the areas of general banking and debt finance, syndicated lending, commercial property finance, acquisition finance, fund finance, leveraged finance and related security structures acting on behalf of both borrowers and lenders.
Leona was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2014, having trained and qualified at one of South Africa’s leading commercial law firms Webber Wentzel (in alliance with Linklaters), where she subsequently spent five years in the Banking and Finance team (which included a short legal secondment to Absa Bank Limited), followed by two years at another top ranked offshore firm in Jersey.
