Bio
Ligaya is an Associate with the Dispute Resolution team of Appleby’s Bermuda office.
She has developed a broad practice in dispute resolution, as well as non-contentious regulatory and risk advisory work. Ligaya has experience working with local and international clients within the insurance, investment business, funds and digital asset sectors and has a keen interest in privacy and data protection frameworks.
Prior to joining Appleby, Ligaya undertook pupillage at a leading offshore law firm. Before becoming a barrister, she served for nearly a decade as a biomedical scientist with various public and private healthcare institutions in Bermuda and abroad.

– PgDip in Bar Professional Training (City Law School, University of London)
– Graduate Diploma in Law (University of Law – London Bloomsbury)
– BSc Medical Technology (University of Santo Tomas)
Ligaya is also a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals and holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ligaya attained board certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology to practice as an International Medical Laboratory Scientist ((MLS(ASCPi)).
