Bio

Advocate Linda Helm is senior associate within the Dispute Resolution department in Jersey. Linda joined Appleby in 2001.

She focuses primarily on matrimonial issues and has experience in family law matters, including divorce, separation and financial settlements. She specialises in child law issues including residence issues, injunctions, contact and parental responsibility. Linda also has experience in personal injury and clinical negligence.

Work Highlights

Linda acted for a parent in the first case in Jersey brought under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.

Recent highlights have included advising on international child abduction under The Hague Convention in respect of a child removed from Australia and successfully defending a return application in the Royal Court of Jersey

Qualifications & Education

She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 1999 and qualified as an Advocate of the Royal Court in January 2013.

Linda is a qualified associate member of the Jersey Family Law Association and JPIMS.
