Olwyn Barry is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution department in the British Virgin Islands.
Prior to joining Appleby in 2015, Olwyn worked as an associate in A&L Goodbody, Dublin in the Commercial Litigation department specialising in contentious insolvency matters and advising on a broad range of commercial disputes, banking litigation and debt enforcement.
Olwyn specialises in commercial litigation, regularly advising on a broad range of multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes with particular experience in shareholders’ disputes, applications for interim relief, and cross-border fraud and asset tracing litigation.

Olwyn graduated from the University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Civil Law (International) degree having spent a year studying in the University of Melbourne, Australia. She completed the professional Practice Course in the Law Society of Ireland while completing her apprenticeship in A&L Goodbody and was admitted to the roll of solicitors in Ireland in 2011.
She was also admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales and admitted as a solicitor of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in 2015 upon joining Appleby´s BVI office.
