Zahrah is an Associate within the corporate department in Mauritius.
She specialises in corporate and commercial law.
Prior to joining Appleby in January 2019, Zahrah worked for two years at BLC Robert and Associates, a well-known law firm in Mauritius where she gained experience in the area of dispute resolution, having assisted in a variety of civil and commercial litigation matters including drafting of Court pleadings and affidavits, injunctions (prohibitory, mandatory and mareva), seizure and attachment, statutory demands (and applications setting aside thereof), winding up petitions as well as various court applications under the Insolvency Act.
Zahrah now assists the Mauritian team on corporate and commercial matters, ranging from providing legal advice and opinion to clients and carrying out legal due diligence on companies in Mauritius. Her experience encompasses drafting an array of documents, including security documents and memoranda on various corporate, insolvency and commercial matters.
Zahrah is fluent in English and French.
