The Technology & Innovation team in Bermuda has seen a robust year to date. Under the Digital Asset Business Act 2018 (DABA), the legal and regulatory environment has experienced a surge in interest in acquiring a licence to provide digital asset business services in and from within Bermuda – a testament to the jurisdiction’s innovative platform helping to foster growth and success in the digital assets industry through innovators, legislators and the regulator.
Appleby continues to be at the forefront of this sector. We are leading the way, advising on the most DABA licence applications to date on the island including – the most recent addition of CoinZoom Bermuda to the list of applicants. The team continues work on a significant number of applications in various stages of readiness. We look forward to announcing these applicants in the near future.
